Bartlett Lake

Location: Bartlett Lake is in the Phoenix area, NE of Scottsdale, near Carefree.

From Carefree, AZ., proceed east on Cave Creek Road and follow the signs to Bartlett Lake.

The best areas for launching and sailing seem to be near Bartlett Flats.

Enter at the main entrance, through the pay station,take the first left to Bartlett Flats.

Parking is lakeside, sandy, with some large rocks and some grass..

Be aware that there are numerous power boats and jetskis in the area, expecially on the weekends.

There is a daily 'parking fee' of $4 plus a $2 Watercraft fee. This is National Forest, so Golden Age Passport is half price. There are also annual passes available.
